Don served our country in the Army Reserves. Those who knew Don and even those who didn’t, got an earful of his passion for sports. He would share daily updates on his beloved Yanks, UCONN Huskies and Tiger Woods. He was a true sports fanatic, often with two TV’s on with different sporting events, going back and forth with updates to anyone who was willing (or not) to listen. Don was also an avid Golfer and Bowler and ran the Monday Night League at Valley Bowl for many years.
Don was a mathematical genius and could calculate instantly any equation, still working full time until his death. He spent his entire career in the Insulation industry, founding his own company, WestConn Insulation and then going onto to continue supporting colleagues in his retirement years.
Don will be remembered for his big loving heart, his gift for gab and his enduring love and support for his wife and family.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, please honor his love of sports by making a donation to the UConn Husky Athletic Fund.
