She was born on November 29, 1940, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Benny) Kovach and the beloved wife of the late Louis P. Cavaliere, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, Aunt and friend. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life— jigsaw puzzles, playing baseball, sharing stories and spending time outdoors. She cherished quiet evenings on her back deck with a glass of wine and her favorite birds for company. Her love for fishing and camping was only rivaled by her lifelong adoration of Elvis Presley and Brenda Lee. Dottie was known for her chocolate chip cookies and Cavaliere cake on every occasion. Dorothy looked forward to the day she would once again dance with the love of her life.
Dorothy was predeceased by her son Michael Cavaliere, grandson Michael Cavaliere Jr., son-in-law’s Tom Kilmurray and Wayne F. Heenan, sisters Mary Halaip (Bernard), Veronica Firer (George), and Theresa Cunningham (David); brothers Michael Kovach (Annie), John Kovach (Beverly), and Stephen Kovach; brother-in-law Robert Card and niece Sharon Cunningham.
