She was predeceased by her husband Clarence O. Schulenburg in 1995. She leaves behind her loving children Helene Ruth Morneau (Eric), her grandson Eliot Thomas of Meriden, and her son Mark Ryan Schulenburg (Brianna) of De Pere, Wisconsin. Love for Eleanor will be carried in the hearts of her family members, too numerous to mention. She will be remembered for her phenomenal culinary artistry, her devotion to her family, and her dedication to Summerfield United Methodist Church.
Throughout her life, she served the congregation as head of the church school, as member of the United Methodist Women, and as a member of the choir. Her chicken soup, ham salad sandwiches, and apple cake were the hit of many fall fairs. Baking bread and hot crossed buns with the Sunday school, directing a pageant of 365 Days of Christmas, and her visits with those who could not come to church will never be forgotten. She lived her faith in God actively and taught us to love one another. Eleanor will be missed by many.
