Ernest R. Keller, 96, passed away on November 27th in Southbury, Connecticut. He was born in Fairfield, Connecticut to the late Frank and Mary Keller on December 9th, 1919. He was a marksman in the Army and had his pilot’s license. He became a Millright and was in Local 210 until he retired. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, lobsterman and artist; during his retirement years he enjoyed wood duck carvings. A loving husband who took care of his late wife, Margueritte with multiple sclerosis for 34 years until her death in 1994. He is survived by his children Karen and her husband Thomas Ceneviva of Seymour and Milford and Wayne and Mary Keller of Southbury. He is also survived by his grandchildren Justin Ceneviva of Milford, Kati Warren and her husband Brian of Southbury and Robert Keller of Southbury. He was a loving father and grandfather. He extended these qualities beyond his immediate family. Uncle Ernie loved all his nieces and nephews and always extended himself to help everyone. He will be very much missed by all he knew and leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him especially his immediate family. He led a full and loving life and he is in heaven for sure. He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters Goldie, Joseph, Mary, Frank, Margaret and George.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 2nd from 4pm-8pm at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe with a funeral service at 7:30pm at the funeral home.
Interment with Military Honors will take place on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.
