Kirk- Evelyn Siksay Kirk, age 94, beloved mother of Mary Ellen Walsh and James W. Kirk and sister of Eleanor S. Washburn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2010. She was a daughter of the late Stephen S., and Mary (Bellis) Siksay and a resident of Bridgeport’s East Side and St. John Nepomoucene Parish in her young years. Evelyn worked for many years at Remington Arms, General Electric, and the GSA in Bridgeport. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen and her husband, John J. Walsh of Monroe, CT, and a son, James (“Vandy”) Kirk and his wife, Elsie, of Lakeland, Florida; a sister Eleanor, of Huntington, CT; six grandchildren; Dennis and Peter Walsh and Linda Walsh Lenard, and Jeffrey and Lisa Kirk and Karen Kirk Hamilton; and twelve great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held at the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, CT on Friday, February 19, 2010 at 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM.
