Kathryn M. Gans

Throughout her working life, Kathryn served as a representative with Southern New England Telephone. She later became an Executive Secretary and, alongside her husband, Samuel Gans, was an Owner of an automotive business. In each role, she carried herself with steady dedication, offering her time and effort with a sense of purpose and reliability that those around her came to value.

Kathryn’s life was also shaped by enduring faith and devotion. She loved church and found meaningful joy in teaching Sunday school, a commitment that reflected both her steadfast beliefs and her generous spirit. She also enjoyed dancing, country music, and spending time visiting her grandchildren- simple pleasures that became lasting memories for her family. Kathryn also shared a love for animals.

Kathryn was first married to Peter Mastrobattisto, who passed in 1983. She later married Samuel Gans, who predeceased her. She is survived by two sons, Gary and Perry Mastrobattisto; four grandchildren, Jenny Taranovich (Jeff), Daniel Mastrobattisto (Liz), Samantha Palombizio (Joe) and Sharon Mastrobattisto (Cliff Moore); and nine great-grand children. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Southford Cemetery, Route 67 & Hawley Road, Oxford, CT 06478, on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 10:00 am.
