Born May 3, 1936 in Gordon, WI to Russell and Katherine MacDonald, Kay was the second oldest of 7 children and is survived by her siblings, Bonnie, Sue, Robert, Douglas, Warren and Cameron MacDonald. Kay graduated from high school in Superior, WI and as a people person quickly landed a job at TWA airlines as a stewardess. She traveled internationally working in first class where she met many celebrities including Frank Sinatra who told her she had “crazy blue eyes.” During that time, she met her husband and took on her beloved role as wife and mother.
Kay was a creative soul and loved playing bridge, quilting, needlepoint, painting, writing poems, crafting, and telling stories. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends and had an active social life and circle of good friends and family who loved her dearly. Kay’s positivity shone through everything she did and her exuberance was contagious. She was full of life and brought a smile and kind word to everyone she met. Kay will be deeply missed.
Kay is survived by her beloved children Bill & Pam Lennon, Mason, OH; Bob & Heather Lennon, Fredericksburg, VA; Kathleen & Scott Mason, Newtown, CT; Tim & Lauri Lennon, Brookfield, CT; and Jennifer Lennon & Brett Ochs, Boulder, CO. Kay also treasured her 11 grandchildren, Melanie, Thomas, Felicia, David, Lauren, Kellyann, Gregory, Cara, Jack, Timmy, and Russell.
