Margarita ‘Marcy’ Moniz age 48, of Monroe CT, lost a courageous battle with cancer on August 25, 2015 at Danbury Hospital. Marcy was born on August 16, 1967 in Huntington NY to Edward and Margarita ‘Margie’ Moir. She graduated from Ridgefield High School and later met her husband Michael while attending Bryant University. Marcy went on to become a successful Human Resources executive – most recently at Affinion Group in Stamford CT, but her true love was simply spending time with her children. Marcy is survived by her loving husband of 23 years Michael Moniz, son Brian, daughter Christina, parents Ed and Margie Moir, and brothers Edward, William and Robert Moir. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 29th at 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Margarita will be laid to rest at St. Johns Cemetery 500 Moose Hill Rd, Monroe, following the Mass. Visiting hours will be held Friday Aug 28th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Spadaccino and Leo P.
