Born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Julia and Pasquale DiNardo.
After growing up in Westport, Pat proudly answered the call to serve his country in the United States Navy. He took great pride in his service, notably serving as one of the youngest boatswains on his ship. Upon his honorable discharge, Pat returned home to join the family car dealership business.
A true entrepreneur at heart, Pat worked in real estate and land development, including residential and commercial properties in Fairfield County. He owned the local bowling alley, had a foundation company, and for several years he was the face of his own restaurant, Bobby R’s in Monroe, where he welcomed neighbors and friends alike. Later in life, he returned to his professional roots and his first love, the art of selling cars, at his car dealerships, including Fair Auto Sales, Liberty Motors, and DiNardo Auto Sales.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved Sunday Italian dinners, his daily diner breakfasts, and his frequent Dunkin’ meet ups with his friends and business associates. A quick trip to Atlantic City was never out of the question, and he loved his Giants and helping others. If you knew him, it was always an adventure!
Pat was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy C. Tomek DiNardo, his sister Elisabeth (Betty) DiNardo, his sister-in-laws Marilyn Bialek and Robin Tomek, his daughter, Julie DiNardo-Coriano, his son-in-law Nicholas Tsichlas, and his granddaughter, Kadeelyn Nicole Konstantino.
He leaves behind a large and loving family. He is survived by: his children, Janice Corsano and son-in-law Michael of Monroe, Holly Konstantino and her husband Ed of Easton, and Pasquale (Pat) DiNardo Jr. of Monroe; his grandchildren, Holly Corsano and her husband Gary Meyer of Monroe, Nicholas Corsano and his wife Caitlin of Massachusetts, Cassie Konstantino of Easton, and Petey and Pat Coriano of Derby; his great-grandchildren Teddy and Samantha Corsano of Massachusetts; his brother Salvatore DiNardo and sister-in-law Christine of Easton; and his in-laws, Elli Carnicky and her husband Charlie of Stratford, Darlene Bento and her husband Bill of Arizona, and Andy Tomek of Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Pat’s memory to support his grandsons, Petey and Pat, who had the honor and responsibility of living with and caring for their grandfather for many years before their mother Julie passed away: https://gofund.me/cdf902742
