

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Robert was a US Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. He served his country as a B-17 tail gunner with the 452nd Bomb Group, flying 23 missions over Europe and attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was employed by Dictaphone Corporation as Service Manager in New Jersey. In 1958, he was transferred to the Technical Service Division of Dictaphone in Connecticut and retired after working there for 40 years.
Robert was a skilled wood worker. After retiring, he and his wife started a small craft business called Big Rock Crafts.
In addition to his wife, Robert’s survivors include a daughter, Nancy Donadio of Pitman, New Jersey, a daughter, Janet Holt and her husband Robert of Monroe, four grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Spadaccino and Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home in Monroe. There will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held. Online condolences may be offered by visiting www.spadaccinofuneralhome.com.
