

Ron was born in Bridgeport, CT to Cecil and Anna LaFrance Plude on December 26, 1935. He married RoseAnn Gualtieri on June 25, 1960, in Saint Raphael Church in Bridgeport, CT. He worked as a truck driver for Chemical Plating Company, which is where he and RoseAnn met. He then went on to start his own business as a home builder, concentrating in Fairfield County communities, until his retirement. Ron was an active member in the local community, serving as Chairman of the Town of Monroe Historic District Commission and as a member of the Monroe Republican Town Committee. He was also a proud member of the Monroe Lions Club, serving on the Board for many years and was passionate about promoting the Lions Club mission of helping others.
Ron is predeceased by his parents, his brothers Francis Plude, Eugene Plude, Walter Plude, Martin Plude, and Norman Plude and his sisters Alice Kohler, Florence Osborne, Ruth Marazoff, Irene Osborne, and Lillian Osborne. He is survived by sisters Gladys Keyes, Ann Biebel, and Betty McKeown.
Ron leaves behind his loving wife RoseAnn, son James Plude and his wife Donna, daughter Jean Bakes, and son Ronald Plude Jr. and his wife Michele, along with his grandchildren who brought much joy to his life, Matthew Plude, Heather Thomas and her husband Chris, Christopher Bakes, Alexander Bakes and his wife Amy, Georgia Bakes, Gillian Plude and Duncan Plude.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Kevin, Reana, and Enoch for their devoted attention to Ron’s care, and to the nurses and staff at Hartford Healthcare Home Hospice.
