My deepest condolence Slager and Hill family. May he rest in peace in the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. What a wonderful man, husband, father and grandpa. Must not leave out friend to all who cross his path.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Bus.  He was such a special and sweet person.  I met him several years ago when he was out doing his karaoke.  Never realized he was your father, Becky.  Thinking of you!!

Bussie was a precious "gentleman" in all respects; a confidante and friend to all, without respect to earthly status.  He loved his wife, family and friends with all his heart.  We are so blessed to have had him in our lives, and extend our sincere condolences to his family.

While only meeting your father once, I will always remember his smile and sense of humor. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

We were saddened to hear of "Mr. Bus's" passing, but find great joy in knowing we will see him again one day.  He was such a fun person to be around and he was so loving to everyone.  There are a few people we cross paths with during our lives who   make an impact on us.....Mr. Bus was certainly one of these people.  Your family will be in our prayers.

I worked at Monroe Hardware in the early 1980's with Bussie. He was a salesman and I worked with Mrs. June Mullis making price changes as well as working with telephone sales. I was pretty much a stranger to Monroe. He was always interested in me and asked how I was doing. We both ate breakfast at the Palace Restaurant on Highway 200. There was never a time at the restaurant or at the office that he didn't come over and ask how things were going. He even introduced me to one of the waitresses at the Palace. Because of him, we became friends. Being a stranger to Monroe, this meant so much to me. Many years have passed, but I will always have fond memories of these times.

Such a wonderful  couple!  They blessed  my life in many ways.  During those long days at the restaurant  they would show up to eat and suddenly  we forgot we were working, such a pleasure to be around,  And then he was alone and I went to visit and cheer him up but it was always me that left wirh a blessing.  Love you Judy Griffin or as Douchie would say BLISS.

It was an honor and privilege to serve your family during this time of great loss.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Ay least one time in your life, You meet someone who stays in your heart and mind always, That someone was Bussie, so sweet and kind. Rebecca and family, I know that God will continue to be with you now and during the coming days, And the precious memories of your sweet Daddy will ALWAYS be with you. I love you all. XO

Bussie was truly a southern gentleman and a true Christian. We have so many memories of him and Dotchie. He made an impact on his entire world and demonstrated unconditional love toward his dear wife. He proved his love of country during WWII and came home and lived out his life for Christ. This world is a better place because Bussie passed through.

Mrs Hill, we are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was the sweetest and I'm glad I was able to meet him. Bobby and I send our prayers and love to help you get through this. He may be gone but he will live on in our hearts forever.

I've known and loved "Bussey" and Dotchie literally all my life.  Heaven is sweeter today as "Bussey" is welcomed home.  He had a great welcoming committee waiting for him, always a wonderful testimony for our Savior.  God bless the family. Geraldine "Gerri" Rogers Prov.3:5,6

Mr. Slagle was such a sweet, kind man to our whole family.  He reminded me very much of my grandfather.  We were lucky to go out for pizza with him the last time he was here in Florida, and it was great to see him enjoying himself and interacting with my son Preston.  He was a very special person, known as Papaw to all the kids down here, and he will be missed very much!

It was a privilege to know Mr. Buss and his family while growing up.
He showed his Faith and Relationship with Jesus Christ his entire life. Prayers for comfort for his family during this time.

Becky, your family became part of our family many years ago because of the love your Mom and Dad showed all of us. The example Bus was to everyone when he took such good care of Dotchie will be remembered and admired for many years. God Bless Bus and all he stood for. He made a difference -
