

Chris was born on May 24, 1990 in Monroe, WA, and graduated from Monroe High School in 2008. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 2013 from the College of Built Environments.
Chris was a young man of great personal character. He is being remembered as being a very caring, bright, talented and good person to all that knew him. He will also be remembered for his determination to recover from spinal fusion surgery by returning to play varsity high school basketball in his senior year. Family and friends will always remember his wonderful smile, his acceptance of others and his caring personality. Chris loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit his Swedish grandparents and extended family several times.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Dr. Clarence and Louise Bunge and his uncle Rich Becker. He is survived by his parents Dale and Annica Bunge, sister Monica (Matt Scrivens), brother Carl, nephew Evan Scrivens, grandparents Sune and Siv Fransson of Mundekulla, Sweden, aunts and uncles Monica and Håkan Stenquist of Emmaboda, Sweden, John and Carol Bunge, Gerry Becker and great-uncle Lawrence Lawson of Langley, B.C. as well as numerous cousins and extended family across the globe.
Chris will never know what it means to grow old. He will be forever young, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is still near to them in their hearts. Chris’s parents would like to suggest that each of you tell your children how much you love them and hug them whenever you have the chance.
A Celebration of Chris’s life will be held August 13th, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s of the Valley Catholic Church, 601 West Columbia St., Monroe, WA 98272.
