Elaine B. Wick, Dec. 28, 1945 - Nov. 23, 2018. Born and raised in Bremerton, WA, attended Central Washington College where she met and married Dale. Taught for a short time for the Monroe School District and settled down to raise two wonderful boys at their home of 48 years north of Monroe.
Elaine was an avid reader with a collection of over 1000 books, her mind remembered every detail and was so full of facts that she probably would have won Jeopardy. Following a stroke in 2012, she became a frequent visitor to the Monroe YMCA. Ovarian cancer struck in 2015 and finally took her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex & Mary Jane Brown of Bremerton. She is survived by her husband, Dale, two children, Jeffrey (Mijung), David (Shannon), three grandchildren, Eowyn, Sean, and Adam, as well as two brothers, a sister, her YMCA family and friends.
A private picnic, to celebrate her life, will be this spring. At her request, there will be no memorial service. The Family want to thank the amazing assistance from Evergreen Hospice Care and the Monroe Fire Dept. Please feel free to donate to your favorite charity or community organization.
