

Esther (Weber) Hurtt passed away in her sleep on December 23, 2012 at her home in Monroe Wa.
Born as the 7th child in Hebron, North Dakota to Philipp and Friedaricka Weber on April 18, 1934. This family grew to 14 surviving children which she was very proud of and talked many times of all the hair curling and face washing of her young siblings. She married the love of her life Gordon Hurtt on July 2, 1954. This union showed many people the selfless giving and sharing of the deep religious faith that was instilled in them. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Steven Gordon and Carlon Paul Hurtt. Throughout Esthers' life she was a devoted wife following Gordon in any new ventures he felt the Lord was leading them into. While living in Billings, they were instrumental in the founding of the Rescue Mission and various other ministries. Living in the Spokane area Esther spent 30 years in the banking industry. After retiring she spent countless hours volunteering at the Senior Center, school lunch programs, ministering at rest homes and many church activities. She was an active and beloved member of the Monroe Faith Center near Monroe, Wa. enjoying many aspects of the music and children's programs.
Esther is preceeded in death by her husband Gordon in 2005, her parents and two infant sisters, three brothers, Reuben, Calvin and Raymond Weber, two sisters Clara Simmons and Leah Sieler.
She is survived by her two sons Steven ( Debbie) Hurtt of Kent Wa. and Carlon ( Katie) Hurtt of Duvall Wa.
Also survived by two brothers, Friedrich (Esther) Weber of Missoula Mt. and Cecil ( Sandy) Weber of Tulsa Ok.. Also survived by six sisters , Orpah (Fred) Tudor of Bozeman Mt., Ruth (Delmer) Yoder of Billings Mt., Dinah ( Rex) Woods of Post Falls Id., Delilah (Todd) Smith of Livingston Mt., Della Weber of Grapevine Tx., Sharon (Randy) Burns of Palm Springs Ca.
Esthers' family was central in her life and she loved them dearly. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews in Mt. She was so proud of all of them.
Esther is laid to rest in the Tahoma Veterans Cemetary next to her husband.
