He graduated from Elkton, OR High School and enlisted shortly thereafter in the Air Force, where he served for 4 years. He retired from Quality Food Centers in 2002, where he had been Manager of the Electronics Repair Department. Gary leaves behind Candy, his wife of 42 years and son Glen, with wife, Chris, and their children Bailee and Jackson. Gary’s mother, Arlene is 96 and lives near Roseburg OR. He also leaves behind an extended family, and many good friends. Gary loved his family, and dearly loved his two grandkids. He enjoyed woodworking in his shop; being outdoors, especially fishing; and travel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. A celebration of Gary’s life will be planned for some time in March.
