My dear my friend Vel,  I only knew you for four years.  In that short time I learned to love you with all my heart.  I will miss you in every chair we sat in.  I miss you being in that empty spot.
I love you always and please say a prayer to god for me.

Dear Cliff, Pam and families, I was terribly shocked to read Vel's obituary in the Windsor Star. She and Barb lived across the street from me in Viscount Estates and were wonderful neighbours. After Barb passed away, Vel seemed so sad and alone because they did everything together. She was so looking forward to moving to Washington and even though I knew I would miss her, it was the best thing, to be with her son. I have thought of her often, in the years since she moved and hoped she would email me so we could keep in touch.
For such a fragile little thing, she sure had a lot of spunk and bounced back quickly after her hip replacement. She was a true LADY with a kind, gentle spirit and well liked in our neighbourhood. I know you will greatly miss her and my heart and prayers are with all of you. My deepest sympathy on her loss.
I plan on attending her Memorial Service if that is all right with you.

I just read your mother's obituary in the Windsor Star. Your MOM Velma was a very special person along with your father Norm. They were always such strong people and the most kind and caring. I always thought that they were the best and I am sure they were loved by everone. My deepest sympathies to your families.    Elizabeth Scratch  from Bank of Montreal in Essex

Mom Redding was the best mother-in-law that a girl could ask for.  She was the most caring and loving person that I know.  I could not even begin to fill her shoes.  I love her very much and miss her terribly.  She will always be in my heart.   I will never forget how she made me feel loved and needed.  I will always be thankful for the time that we had together.

I love you Mom Redding  and look forward to seeing you again.
