Filbert Effren Trejo Jr.

He was born in Monrovia, California on October 23, 1938 to Filbert Trejo and Madeline Trejo. He was one of 12 children and the oldest of the boys.

He married the love of his life Sylvia Arriaga on April 13th 1958. They had 7 wonderful children together. Sylvia became an angel too early in life but since then has long awaited their reunion. They are now together dancing in the clouds watching over us.

Filbert had a lifetime career in construction. Not only did he work for many construction companies, at one point he owned his own company. He passed down his trade to some of his sons and taught them everything he knew. He has built so many structures in his lifetime, from residential to company buildings and colleges. It is that line of work that gave him so many rowdy but yet funny stories that he would share with his family.

He would also coach little league baseball. He was always giving back to his community. Whether it was giving donations to his church or coaching children on baseball teams. He loved to teach the game. He was the motivation and inspiration to so many.

He was always there when someone needed him. He was the rock and the strength of his family. He would always say “What are you guys going to do when I’m gone”. We would tell him “You’re not going anywhere! You’re going to be with us forever!

But I guess now that time has come and we must tell him goodbye, until we meet again. We know him and his beloved wife Sylvia will be with us always, wherever life takes us. They will always be watching over us!

He is survived by daughters, Yvette Trejo and Yvonne Trejo. Sons, Robert Trejo, Daniel Trejo, Effren Trejo, and James Trejo ; Grandchildren, Arlene Trejo, Bobby Trejo, Tammy Trejo, Effren Trejo Jr., Steven Trejo, Isiah Trejo, Andrew Trejo, Josiah Trejo, Daniel Trejo, Krystle Trejo, Korinna Trejo, Anthony Trejo, Rita Suazo, Rigo Suazo, Regina Suazo; Great grandchildren, Brianna Viramontes, Steven Viramontes, Joseph Viramontes, Joshua Trejo, Devin Trejo, Sebastian Trejo, Aubrey Hall Trejo, Grace Trejo, Aaron Trejo, Riley Trejo, Heaven Aldana, Gabriel Aldana, Eric Rafael, Dominic Rafael, Aubrey Suazo, Alexa Maldonado, Kaily Maldonado, Samantha Maldonado, Liliana Maldonado, Micah Ian Garcia, and Faith Makayla Garcia.
