Guillermo V Mendez

Guillermo Mendez, age 61 passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was born in Michoacán, Mexico on January 17th, 1962. He came to the United States at the age of 16. He then married Rosa Ibarra and started a family of four Children: Elizabeth, Eric, Guillermo Jr, and Eduardo. He was an extremely gifted chef, his skills would take him too many places in his career. He donated a lot of his time, efforts, and culinary skills to his children's school, which earned him the respect of his community. He was very involved in being a fearless leader and spokesperson for his 3 son's soccer leagues. He had a personality that would make many family and friends smile, he always had a funny story to tell and would have people coming back for more. He was very passionate about soccer, the teams he enjoyed most were Cruz Azul and La Selecion de Mexico. In his later years his daughter would bless him with three grandchildren: Maritza, Leo, and Evelyn. With this new blessing he would share his passion for soccer and watch them join leagues of their own helping them gain the knowledge and skills to compete. Guillermo didn't stop there, he taught them how to cook some of the basics in the kitchen, he would go on to make new memories with his grandchildren and tell his amazing stories. His legacy will continue through his family and will always be remembered as an amazing husband, father and grandfather.
