Well Mama...my sweet lady Linda, here we are a lil over a year since you left us.  Mama, I have kept strong, well I think I have, as you asked me to.  oh Mama, it was so easy to tell you that I would be okay because I wanted you to think that I would be so that you could go peacefully. I have been as strong as I have because of my belief and love for God.  I know that you are in Heaven exactly where you were so anxious to go.  Me believing in that I can make it through each and every day as it comes.  Mama, yes, I may be strong and I may keep a smile on my face, but behind smile is me, your BabyGirl Christini, who misses you something crazy each and every single day.  I struggle everyday wanting to see you and hangout with you and not being able to.  I walk out my front door and look at your house and it breaks my heart when you don't walk out your back door so that we can hit the streets of Highland Park as we did every day since forever.  I miss us going to the movies and sneaking off to have a sundae or root beer float. I miss are trips to Food4Less. As each day comes to an end, I may be sad but I'm also happy because that means I'm another day closer to joining you.  Mama, life is not the same and never will be without.  Our home, this yard doesn't shine like it once did. You were the queen, you were the star!  Mama, I want to thank you for 43 years of happiness.  Thank you for being the most caring, kindhearted, loving, and sweetest person ever.  Throughout my life you taught me many things but in your last 8 months, you taught me the most important things a parent could teach their child. I learned patience, love, forgiveness, humbleness, hope, trust.  Your love for God was so beautiful...you were so anxious, an eager to go to Heaven but your belief, faith and hope in God kept you so patient.  That alone was the most important lesson you gave me. I am who I am today because of you :) Thank you my beautiful mother for never judging me and for never seeing no wrong in me. Thank you for always being here for me and my children. Linda was one of the most amazing women I have ever known. I'm still astounded when I think about how she loved people. She loved with all her heart 100 percent. Never giving up on anyone she loved. Never judgemental. I feel so blessed to have known her and been loved by her. I miss her dearly and will always cherish our memories but know she is in heaven looking down on us. As she told me countless times when she told me she loved me that I live in her blood and heart no matter where I am. She will always live in my heart and soul.

Hey sweet lady.  Well Grams I just wanted to drop-in on your page and talk to you one last time before its closes. You know Grandma, you  have been gone over a year now.  As time passes on,  you would think that it gets easier but in truth it doesn't. We learn to block the pain and try to not feel it so much because it hurts way too much. It's still hard to except that your gone  because within myself and in my heart I don't want to believe it.  You were my grandmother, such a wonderful and big part of my life. You were one of the very few women that i knew I could always count on to love me and to always except me no matter what.  You never turned your back on me or closed your doors on me or forgot about me. Your love for me and for the rest of your family was truly something genuine and a blessing!  I miss your voice, your silly words.  You used to say certain things that only you would think to say.  Grams your politeness and your love. But most of all I miss seeing your beautiful loving face.  That alone I would give anything to see.  I miss you so much it hurts me to think of these things because I know the day I do get to go home,  I won't be walking in the yard and seeing you there anymore. The one person that I couldn't wait to see.  I've always feared of being away and losing someone I loved so deeply and after the times that I happen to land myself in trouble, I never thought that it would happen because always came home to everyone.  But now, it's gonna be some much different because without you life will never be the same. Momma, last night was two Weeks since you left....I miss taking you to the post office...we did that every day.

Momma you are "There Times A (my) Lady". A few months ago you and I had some alone time, we lied on your bed cuddling and I had my opportunity to really tell you all my feelings. (I'm sorry if I was a big old baby in your arms) well that day I told you I wanted you to listen to a song and asked you to listen to every word. As it played...I sang every word in your ear as we hugged. Momma the early morning of you leaving when you could no longer speak but could hear again I played it and sang to you.... "And now that we we've come to the end of our rainbow there is something I must say out loud.....you're once, twice, three times a lady and I LOVE YOU!"  Well Momma as I've said you are three times my lady.....my Mother, my best friend & my hangout buddy....I will deeply miss all three of you.

When Nacho and I went to visit Linda in April, one of the memories that came to her was one night many years ago we were visiting and it was about 10:30pm and we decided we wanted to make Funnel Cakes!  Linda had a way of making that "mmmmm" sound when she really enjoyed thinking about something tasty. So, I drove to La Puente and got my recipe, ingredients and funnel cake tool and went back and together we had such fun making funnel cakes into the wee hours of the morning for all the kids :-)

Linda never saw the bad in anyone, she only saw good. I would call her to lift her spirits and I would walk away feeling inspired with her faith. I am honored to have known Linda for the time that I did here on earth and look forward to joining her when my time comes.
