Auntie it's Rommel. Condolences for Inang. I'm so very sorry that I can't make it to the viewing or the burial bcuz of work...jus started a new job. 
Inang was so joyful & nice to be around. As always whenever she saw me, she was always smiling and/or playing mahjong...hahaha 😅😁🤣
She was always very kind & always told me to go eat now 😁👍

To my dear Lola Nena, 

For you, I am always the quiet one. The last time we "talked", you even called me out your "kapangalan" for being so silent. Now that you're gone, and everything is sinking in, it's painful to admit, but yes, I wish, I could have said more. I'll forever remember that night I came home late and there you were waiting by the door patiently for me - opted not to sleep yet not until I'm home safe. I felt loved by you, so sincere and pure. Thank you for giving us everything that you have and everything that you can.

Rest in paradise with Lolo 💜


The last time that we were able to talk to lola when she was still ok, I told her that Mama shared to us that Mama was not her favorite. According to my Mom, si Lolo ang may favorite sa kanya. Lola immediately corrected the statement and started talking about how she and Lolo sacrificed for their children, and that she equally loves them. None was her favorite. According to her, she and Lolo worked separately just so they can provide for all of them. "Totoo lahat ng sinasabi ko.", she added. Kaya wag daw sasabihin ni Mama na hindi sya paborito because it's not true. 

Lola is someone I see na strong. Nagagalit sya madalas kay Mama kasi mahina ang loob ni mama. They're otally different. I know ngayon kung nakikita ni Lola si Mama, pagagalitan na naman nya si Mama kasi iyakin si Mama. Or maybe all of us. She doesn't want to see us crying. Instead we should be happy and relieved that she's peacefully resting now. The last time I saw her  through video call was really heartbreaking and I could not take it to see her any longer in that situation.

No more pain from dialysis, Lola. We will miss you. I will miss our video calls with you. I will miss your voice. I wish i can hug you for one last time., I hope you knew and felt our love for you even if we were miles apart. I love you! Till we meet again. ❤️

In 1989 we visited Nanang Nena and tatang Kikoy in tnis  memory I saw the love and fondness in her eyes when she scolded us not to eat all the kilawen she made as appetize. She told us to save some kilawen for Manny my late husband specifically. We reserved the remaining food for Manny. 

We are very fortunate that we have a kind grandmother. Preaching, understanding and superior to all loving grandmothers, so we, my brothers and I, are very grateful to the Lord that not everyone can receive incomparable grace.
Until the day comes when the lord takes her, for us grandma your memory will not fade from our hearts, our hugs and kisses, our love and gratitude. Till we meet again grandma. We love you.

Dear Lola,

We are here na po ni Mama. We tried our best to make it on time but I know you want it this way. We will surely miss you lola!! No more pains now and thank you for loving us, your apos!! I can still remember whenever you are with us in Laguna and I am not home yet due to errands or work, you always wait for me to make sure that I will be home safe. Thank you Lola. We will take care of Mama. I love you. 

My dearest Inang, 

So many memories we have built together. Not so much when I was growing up since you were always busy working to make sure we, your children, can have a good life and education. I appreciate your sacrifices and I am proud to say, I got my education and had a successful career. Thank you very much for pushing me to be a successful nurse and be the best I can be as a daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.

With all the memories we built together, what stands out is the travels we did together here in the US. The last few years of your life, you used to say you can’t do things you used to do anymore and can’t go places anymore. I used to remind you of those places we had visited together. The cross country drives we did with my family are unforgettable. While Ben was driving, we had good laughs, watched movies, played cards and ate a lot in the van. Those activities were a lot of fun. We also flew a few times to reach places. I am so grateful that I had the chance to take you places and visit 21 different states and Canada. I will always treasure those times we spent together. 

I know your last few months were not easy. We were selfish and we don’t want you to stop dialysis. I guess part of us just can’t let you go. Finally, we realized that it was time for us to let you go even if it means losing you. Your final wish has been granted by our Lord in Heaven. I am very  happy for you. You can now rest peacefully and no more pain and suffering. Have a wonderful reunion with Tatang and my son, Nolan.

I will miss you a lot but you will always be in my heart.

Lola from the deepest chamber of my heart  I just want to thank you for everthing you've done for us.for the love,care,understanding ,help and for treating us (kuya bert ,jeng nd me as your own grandchildren.
You will always be our Lola  and  I am proud that I am one of your grandchildren. Lahat po ng aral nyo sa akin  pangako sya kong gagamitin sa anak ko.
