CAMPOS, Victoria, of Commerce, CA, died peacefully on May 2, 2012 at age seventy-three. Born in the town of Buenavista, in the state of Puebla, Mexico, Victoria came to the United States in 1976 and obtained work in the city of Los Angeles, CA.
She was a seamstress for many years and an active member of the East Los Angeles Seventh Day Adventist Church. Victoria was a prayer director and longtime volunteer at the church and she enjoyed helping others until her death. Victoria was the mother of five children: Alex Lopez, of Los Angeles, CA; Julieta Lopez, of Spanish Fork, UT; Gilberto Lopez, of Commerce, CA; Lucila Lopez, of Spanish Fork, UT and Olga Cortez, of Riverside, CA. Victoria was also the grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren and the great-grandmother of three great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 6:00 pm, at the chapel of the East Los Angeles Seventh Day Adventist Church, 700 S. Hoefner Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90022. Victoria will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Turner & Stevens Live Oak Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 E. Duarte Rd. Monrovia, CA 91016.
