It is with sadness that we share the news of the peaceful passing of Margaret (Margie) Linahen in her 96th year on October 23rd 2025. Margaret was a long-time resident of Weir, (Montcalm) Quebec and was the 8th. child of the Montreal Linehan family. Margaret retired after many years with the CIL company of Montreal.
Her many friends and family will miss her sparkling personality and her kind nature. She is survived by her Stepson Andy and his daughter Jessica, honorary Daughter in law Marianne McGrath and the Britton, Scott, Bailey and Linehan nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held November 13th from 11am to 2 pm at the Guay Funeral Home 974 Rue Vanchesteing Mont Tremblant J8E 3H7 with burial at the Arundel Cemetery Quebec #327 Barkmere J9T 1A0 where she joined her beloved partner of eight decades, Chester Thompson.
A reception will be held following the burial service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 79 rue du village (route 327), Arundel, QC. J0T 1A0.
