Ruben is survived by his esposa, Maria Cardoza; his hija Blanca Obregon; his hijo Mark Cardoza; his hija Maria Cordero; and his hija Sonia Cardoza.
Ruben was preceded in death by his hijo Ruben Cardoza Jr and his hijo George Cardoza.

A misa funebre/ funeral mass will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4245 Acacia Ave, Pico Rivera, California 90660. A sepelio/ burial will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 S Grand Ave, Glendora, California 91740.
