Billy Franklin Baggett

Billy Franklin Baggett, age 83, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Bill was born on July 11, 1939, the son of James D. Baggett and Lola Mae Baggett, of St. Louis, Missouri. Bill is survived by his wife, Annis J. Baggett, whom he met in Quantico, Virginia when they were both serving in the US Marine Corps, and they were happily married for 62 years. Bill was a member of the US Marine Corps swim team. He and his wife lived in St. Louis for 3 years, then moved to northwest Arkansas after their son was born, and they lived in Lowell for over 40 years. Bill worked for Tyson's, and mowed yards, after he retired to part-time work. Bill and Annis moved to Alabama in March 2021 to be near their son and his family.

He is also survived by his son, Shawn D. Baggett (Kimberly) of Pelham, AL; two grandsons, David K. Baggett (Francesca) of Pelham, AL and Bradley E. Baggett of Chelsea, AL; sister, Darlene Smith of St. Louis, MO; and brother, Michael Baggett (Linda). He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jack Baggett and Dick Baggett.

Bill loved horses and rode in the Rogers Riding Club. He loved hunting, fishing and telling stories. He was a member of the Millwood Christian Church in Rogers, Arkansas.
