Charles W. Turner, Sr., known by friends as "Charlie", age 83, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2019. A native of Corinth, Mississippi, he was a retired Naval Aviator and a veteran of foreign wars. He retired from several professions over his career, including City Manager, resort manager, and Chief of Police.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Turner; sons, Charles W. "Chip" Turner, Jr. (Alana) and Donald D. "Don" Turner (Sherrie); granddaughters, Erin and Stephanie Turner; and grandson, Chad Bryan.
A private service will be held at Alabama National Cemetery.
