Clifford in preceded in death by his parents Cecil Wilmer and Gladys McDonough Lawley.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 58 years Florian Vierra Lawley; children, Kevin Lawley (Debbie), and Robyn Lawrence (Matt); grandchildren, Jakob and Mia Lawrence, as well as a sister, Mary Ross; and a brother, Bobby Lawley.
Clifford joined the Navy at the age of 18 and was assigned to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where he met his soul mate, Flo. After he served his duty, he brought his bride home to Montevallo to begin a family. Over the years Clifford worked in the coal mines in Pea Ridge and as an employee of the City of Montevallo for 25 years. Most notably, Clifford was a member of the Pea ridge Volunteer Fire Department, and spent many years as Chief. Clifford and Flo also spent many hours volunteering with senior citizens groups, and around the city. When he was not helping out his community, Cliff enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. He particularly enjoyed an annual beach trip and RV camping at Wind Creek. Clifford was a lifetime member of Bethel Baptist Church, and we know today he looks down on us from Heaven.
