Douglas Allen Creel, age 51, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024. He was born in Apopka, Florida to Carl and Grace Creel. He was one of seven children and grew up in Texas. He spent his career as a meat cutter and truck driver, with handles of "Big Daddy" and more recently "The Bone." He enjoyed watching Alabama football, Dallas Cowboys, and NASCAR, with a cold beer. He was the family grillmaster and loved being Granddaddy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, William T. Cousins, Jennifer "Dee" Weeden, and Tommy Creel; and uncle, J. B. Langley. He is survived by his children, Jonathan Ray Creel (Brittany), Amber Creel McDaniel (Kyle), DeeAnna Creel Lawrence (Aaron) and Allen Edward Creel (Hannah); grandchildren, Jackson, Emmett, Lydia, Emery, Ruby and Silas; mother of his children, Vickie Creel; aunt, Betty Langley siblings, Greg Cousins, Sr., Carl Creel, Jr. and Donald Creel (Erin); brother-in-law, Rick Weeden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family barbeque will be held in his memory.
