Mr. Earl C. Phillips, “Cotton”, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the veterans home in Alexander City where he called home for two years. Cotton was a WWII Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jean Pickett, and wife, Helen Boothe Phillips. Cotton is survived by two daughters: Carole Thompson (Gary), and Dottie Whitley (Ronny). Visitation for Mr. Phillips will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), followed by services at 2:00 pm in the chapel with burial to follow in Montevallo City Cemetery.
