Mrs. Eva Jean McGinty Cavender, age 77 of Lawley, Alabama, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, in the hour of Divine Mercy, at her home. She was a long time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Cavender; parents, Frank and Katherine McGinty, and brother Frank McGinty. Survivors include daughter, Monica Davis (James); sons, Michael Cavender (Laurie) and Kevin Cavender; grandchildren, Ryan Cavender, Nicholas Cavender, Matthew Cavender, Elise Cavender, Madeleine Cavender, Isabella Cavender, Esmee Cavender and Finn Cavender; sister, Elizabeth Smith and brother, Robert McGinty. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Montevallo, Alabama. She will be buried at Rehobeth Cemetery in Lawley, Alabama.
