Gary Max Carlisle Jr.

In August 1986, he married the love of his life, Johnnie Ann Carlisle, and together raised three children, Kristin, Patrick, and Jaclyn. He attended Herzing University where he received his degree in electronic engineering in 1992. Gary was an amazing storyteller and enjoyed writing and sharing his amazing stories with his five grandchildren. He also loved drawing and passed this love down to them as well. He loved to tell jokes and make his family laugh; he was always the life of the party.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Grady and Gene Lee, Frank and Ted Carlisle and his sister, Tracy Briggs.

He is survived by his loving wife, Johnnie Ann Carlisle, his children Kristin (Brack) Wyatt, Patrick (Autumn) Carlisle, and Jaclyn (Brody) Curl, along with his five grandchildren, Makana Wyatt, Madelyn Carlisle, Colin Wyatt, Matthew Carlisle, and Macon Carlisle. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth Anne Carlisle, his father Gary Max (Robyn) Carlisle Sr., his sisters, Adele (Dale) Brown and Trisha (Tommy) Dunckley.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022, at The Church at Bethel located at 10042 Collins Chapel Rd, Thorsby, AL 35171. Friends will be received starting at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, you may make donations directly to The Church at Bethel. If you would like to send flowers you may have them delivered to The Church at Bethel before the service.
