Born on August 2, 1943, in Jemison, Alabama, Hilda was a woman of remarkable strength, independence, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She carried herself with quiet determination throughout her life and always stood firmly by what she believed was right. Her family knew her as someone dependable, resilient, and deeply caring — the kind of woman whose love was shown through her actions every single day.
Hilda found joy in life’s simple and beautiful things. She loved hummingbirds and monarch butterflies, tending to her garden, and creating lovely floral arrangements. She also had a playful side and enjoyed video games, especially the original Legend of Zelda, which brought her countless hours of happiness over the years.
More than anything, Hilda cherished her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her children: Tessia Adams, Katherine Howell, and Tamara Howell-Feltman; and her beloved grandchildren: Dylan Adams, Cree Malizio, Charles Adams, and Karah Marie Thomason.
Though her family grieves her passing deeply, they also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will continue to live on in blooming gardens, fluttering butterflies, hummingbird wings, and in the hearts of those who loved her most.
Services for Hilda Marie Howell will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Rococo Funeral Home, 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.
