Mary Ann Milstead

Mary Ann Milstead passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2026 at the age of 85. She was born on November 26, 1940 in Gadsden, Alabama and resided in Calera, Alabama where she lived most of her life.

Mary Ann spent many years working at Protective Life and Walmart where she formed lasting friendships and left an impression on everyone she encountered. She was a dedicated member of Calera Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the nursery, caring for children and supporting families. Mary Ann later became a member of Providence Baptist Church. She had a special way of bringing a smile to everyone she met and found great joy in serving others.

Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Edwin Wayne Milstead; son, Ronnie Phillips; parents, Lloyd and Mattie Ruth Fincher; and sister, Betty Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Denney (Randy); stepdaughter, Amelia Killingsworth (Todd); stepson, Edwin Milstead (Jan); eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews as well as family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Expect Care Hospice for their compassionate care.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm with a service to follow at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), 3715 Highway 25, Montevallo, Alabama 35115.

Mary Ann will be laid to rest at Shelby Memory Gardens, 8586 Highway 25, Calera, Alabama 35040.
