

On February 4, 2026, Naomi Blake Williams Mathis, age 25, was called home to be with the Lord following a courageous three-year battle after her bone marrow transplant in 2023. Born on September 27, 2000, Naomi was known for her unwavering positivity reflected in her ever-present smile and contagious laugh that brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.
Naomi was a proud graduate of Montevallo High School’s Class of 2020 where she was involved in the Christian student group, played on the tennis team, and served as manager for the volleyball team. Inspired by her grandmother’s example, Naomi developed a deep passion for caregiving which led her to a fulfilling career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She selflessly cared for others with compassion and grace. On November 12, 2022, Naomi married the love of her life, Clyde Mathis, with whom she shared a beautiful bond rooted in faith and love.
A devoted member of Providence Baptist Church, Naomi faithfully served her church and community. She was active in the Youth Group and found great joy in helping with Children’s Ministry programs especially Vacation Bible School. Naomi shared a special and cherished bond with her younger family members whom she adored deeply. Her love for children and her desire to serve others were evident in everything she did.
Naomi was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ruth Knight and her biological mother, Tammie Blake. She is survived by her beloved husband, Clyde Mathis; her loving adoptive parents, Rick and Cathy Williams; her biological father, William Blake; her supportive siblings, Robby Williams, CeeJae Knight, William Blake, and Dani Blake; and her best friend, Karli Tilley along with many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Naomi Blake Williams Mathis will be remembered for her loving heart, steadfast faith, kind spirit, and the profound impact she made on everyone blessed to know her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made toward a headstone to honor her life and legacy. Contributions can be mailed to 108 Southfield Drive, Alabaster, AL 35007.
