Peggy Flippo Terry

Terry, Peggy Flippo, age 84, of Montevallo, passed away September 19, 2017. She was born in Covington, Virginia to Baxter and Geneva Flippo. She attended Covington High School. She dedicated her life to her husband and son, and excelled in the domestic arts of cooking and sewing. She was an active member of University Baptist Church, and faithfully read the Bible in its entirety multiple times. Her joys in life were keeping up with current events and politics; travelling with her husband, listening to country music, reading, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Delano “Biggon” Terry; her granddaughter, Burton Jane Terry; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Terry. She is survived by her son, John Michael Terry (Lynn); grandchildren, John Baxter Terry, Liz Ann Terry, George Michael Terry and Zoie Lynn Terry; and brother-in-law, Cameron Terry (Carol). A Celebration of her Life will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 12:30 PM at University Baptist Church, with visitation to begin at 11:30. Her committal service will follow at 2:00 at Alabama National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation at www.rettsyndrome.org.
