Stephen "Steve" Ray Brewer

Steve Ray Brewer, age 66, of Montevallo, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Born to Mack and Ruth Brewer in 1957, Steve's life was a testament to the power of friendship, faith, and family.

Steve's deep-rooted faith, and his passion for fishing and the Alabama Crimson Tide brought joy to countless lives. Through his God-given ability to welcome people and make them feel at home, Steve turned any gathering place into a space of laughter and love, where memories were made and friendships flourished.

He is preceded in death by his father, Mack Brewer, and his brother-in-law and friend Tom Payne. He leaves behind a legacy of love cherished by his family.

Steve is survived by his devoted wife, Ronda, his sons Jarrod (Kathy) and Craig (Heather), grandchildren Brooklyn, MaKayla, Haylee, and Baylee, his loving mother, Ruth, sisters Linda and Shirley (David), brother Jerry (Wanda), and a community that will forever be grateful for the light he brought into their lives.

Though he may have cast his last line, his memory will continue to ripple through the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him

A visitation for Steve will be held Monday, March 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Harvest Church of God, 10630 Vance Blocton Rd, Vance, AL 35490. His funeral service will occur Monday, March 18, 2024 at 12:00 PM at New Harvest Church of God with the burial following at Shelby Memory Gardens, 8586 Highway 25, Calera, Alabama 35040.
