Sue Ann Cooley Bailey, age 76, of Alabaster, passed away February 24, 2016. She was a school bus driver for Shelby County Schools for over 20 years. She attended Lacey’s Chapel Independent Church. Sue Ann loved to fish, spend time with her family and gamble in the casinos in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Harris Cooley; mother, Bertie Mae Wilson Cooley; and brothers, Tim Cooley and J.C. Cooley. She is survived by her sons, Jack “Bebo” Bailey (Joanne) and Dale “Sabo” Bailey (Robin), both of Alabaster; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim Cooley (Rose) and Leo Cooley (Alice); sisters, Patsy Thompson and Candy Murray (Curtis); and numerous nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Rockco Funeral Home (Montevallo), with visitation to begin at 10:00 AM. Rev. Bobby Simmons will officiate and burial will follow at Pelham City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Painting Program at Chandler Health & Rehab, Alabaster, AL.
