Thelma Faye Edwards, age 82, passed away September 22, 2017. She was a beloved mother and she was loved by all who knew her. She was known as “Mama Faye.” She was a member of Brantleyville Church of God and was very active in her younger years. She worked at convenience stores most of her life. She enjoyed quilting by hand with her sisters. Her favorite thing to do was sing karaoke at VJ’s Restaurant and The Blazing Moon.” She loved homemade biscuits and Pepsi or cornbread and buttermilk. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Edwards; daughter, Tammy Wallace; one brother; and six sisters. She is survived by her children, Danny Wallace, Tina McCartney (Johnny), Wynnett Wallace (Jerome), Neal Wallace (Norma) and Chris Edwards (Kelly); eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her best buddy & protector, Colonel. She will be brought home to 436 County Road 772, Montevallo, for viewing on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6:00 PM until Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 3:00 PM. Her graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM at Ryan Cemetery on Hwy 17.
