AD Hughes Jr.

A.D. Hughes, Jr., a lifelong resident of Montgomery, Alabama died after a brief illness at age 57. He is preceded in death by Lilla B. Hughes,mother, and A. D. Hughes, Sr. father, and a brother Jerry Sloan. He is survived by two sisters Pat Elaine Whitman of Holland Michigan and her husband Richard , Lynn Shoults of Pensacola Florida and her husband Kyle, one niece April Ulmer of Jacksonsville,Florida and her husband Scot, four nephews Tim Hendershot of Canton, North Caroline, Nicholas Whitman of Toledo, Ohio and Hayden and Jordan Shoults of Pensacola, Florida, two grand nieces and one grand nephew of Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Hughes spent most of his adult life in retail service. Recently, he found happiness volunteering helping others.

Visitation will be Thursday (Jan. 17) 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at White Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service officiated by Lt. Brian Farrington will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Heart Association.
