Andy co-owned a pet store and grooming shop with his wife for over a decade, where he especially enjoyed sharing his love of fish. He later worked as a truck driver, a role that reflected the steady dedication he carried throughout his life.
For 25 years, Andy was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion at both the local and state levels, giving his support with quiet commitment and pride.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, William Cherry, and his mother, Voye Cherry. He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Cherry; his son, Jonathan Cherry (Jonica Cherry); his daughter, Anna Cherry Noe (Joseph Noe); his grandchildren, Jess Cherry, Aliyah Noe, Dominick Noe, Zakarya Noe, and Isaijah Ortiz; his brother, Bill Cherry; and his sister, Peggy Ozment (Pat Ozment).
A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, on March 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The processional will form in the first parking lot of Leak Memory Chapel at 1:45 p.m.
