Anne was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kennedy Danziger and grew up in Montgomery alongside her siblings, Rebecca Danziger Snell and John Kennedy Danziger Jr., all of whom preceded her in death. She attended Mary Baldwin College and the University of Alabama, where she cultivated her love for learning and the arts.
Anne married Rufus Middleton King, with whom she shared a devoted partnership until his passing. Together they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. Anne is survived by her children and their spouses: Emmie King Stroh and Sammy Stroh of Montgomery, Alabama; William Rufus King of Vancouver, British Columbia; and Anne King Holste and Bjoern Holste of Kronberg, Germany. She also leaves behind her four cherished grandchildren.
A gifted pianist, Anne’s talent brought joy to those who had the privilege of hearing her play. Her passion for music was matched by her unwavering support for the arts. She was known not only for her artistic abilities but also for her remarkable kindness, patience, and hospitality. Anne had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel welcome at her table—a testament to her warm spirit and generous heart.
Anne’s legacy lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched with her compassion and grace. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
