Annie Laura Gafford, age 87, of Hope Hull, Alabama passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. Born in Alabama to Lennie and Mittie Ola Butler, she lived in the Montgomery area working as a legal secretary.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 20 years, Bert Gafford; her parents and her siblings. Ann is survived by her daughter, Laurie Ann Pierce (Mark); and her grandsons, Joshua A. Pierce (Brianna) and Timothy A. Pierce (Lizzy).
A member of Pintlala Baptist Church, she will be remembered for her faith and her solid prayer life. Ann enjoyed cooking for her family, taking care of her husband, Bert, but it was her grandchildren that really made her smile.
A family and friends visitation for Mrs. Gafford will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Following the family and friends visitation will be a graveside at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Annie's memory may be made to Montgomery Cancer Center.
