Barbara Lamm Burge of Lowndesboro passed away peacefully in her home on September 10, after an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burkett and Gladys Lamm; sister, Merle Sasser; and a great grandson, James Brodie Gentry.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Sammy Burge; daughters, Angela Burge of Montgomery, Rebecca Murphy of Wetumpka, and Renea Burge of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Mark (Christy) Wells, Rhianna (Eric) Davis, Joseph (Laura) Dorsey, and Jessica (Michael) Meredith; great grandchildren, Blake (Katie) Wells, Raegan Wells, Jonas Wells, Nathan Meredith, Sadie Meredith, and Lizzie Kate Dorsey; and great-great grandchild, Tristan Wells.

A Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Leak Memory Chapel with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00, officiated by Hugh Chatham and Andy Hepburn. Barbara will then be laid to rest in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers to include: Mark Wells, Eric Davis, Joseph Dorsey, Michael Meredith, Johnny Taylor, and Christopher Taylor.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hayneville Baptist Church, 1180 State Hwy 21 N, Hayneville, AL 36040.
