Betty Joyce Bailey

Betty Joyce Bailey age 89, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2023 at Jackson Hospital. Betty was a member of Fannin Road Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years Paul Bailey; son Kenneth Wilson; parents Leon Meredith and Etheline Bailey; brothers Alfred Meredith, Robert Meredith, Tommy Meredith, and David Meredith.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Cole (Greg), sister Frances Hancock, brothers Sam Meredith, Donald Meredith, Wimp Meredith and Shep Meredith; grandchildren Miles Cole, Joshua Cole, Mason Cole, Zachariah Wilson (Carla), Lavon Sawyers and Malorie Wilson. Fifteen great grandchildren and several other nieces nephews relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday June 16, 2023 at Leak Memory Chapel at 2pm with a family and friends visitation one hour prior to service. A Graveside Service will be held at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.
