Betty Brewer Eskridge, age 95, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Born to Farrar and Nita Mathis Brewer, she and her mother moved from Andalusia to Montgomery. Remembered as a bank administrator who served Union and Colonial banks for almost 50 years, she loved her job. Betty was a history buff who enjoyed traveling the world. An opera enthusiast who appreciated fine art, she enjoyed life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Farrar and Nita Brewer; her husband of 53 years, Alfred Benson Eskridge; and her son-in-law, Robert S. Trammell. She is survived by her children, Amy (Allen) Sanford, Michael (Dianne) Eskridge, and James (Mary Jo) Eskridge; her grandchildren, Rachael (Brooke), Bryan, Bradley (Lindsay), Beth Ann, Blake, and Keith, Alicia (Mitchell); her great grandchildren, Andrew, Ashlyn, Garret, Riley, Kinsley, Landon, Oliver and Sebastian.
Betty's family would like to thank Carla Johnson for the years of beauty shop gossip, friendship and love she shared with our mother. A big heart-felt love and thank you to Rachael and Brooke for their 24/7 love and care of Nana.
A family and friends visitation for Betty will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. Following the family and friends visitation will be a celebration of life graveside at 10:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Montgomery Humane Society or Children's Hospital of Alabama.
