

POLLOCK, Betty P, 89, a resident of Chevy Chase, MD, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, OH and lived in many places in her lifetime during her husband's military career in the U.S.A.F. A resident of Montgomery for 42 years, she moved to Maryland to be with her grandchildren in 2012. Betty attended the University of Arizona where she met the love of her life. She later married and dedicated her life to him, their children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and a longtime active member of the Officers' Wives Club and Arrowhead Garden Club. She is survived by her son, Russell (Debbie) Pollock of Montgomery, AL; grandsons and their families, Matthew (Teresa) of Brookville, MD , David (Page) of Bethesda, MD, Jacob (Robin) of Brandon, FL and John Brayton Pollock of Asheville, NC; step granddaughter, Jenny Cyr (Josh) of Kent, AL and six great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Nancy) Parker of Aurora, OH; nieces, Polly (John) of Aurora, OH and Amy (John) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; daughter-in-law, Myriam Khalifa of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, John B Pollock; son, Thomas P Pollock; parents Jesse and Catherine (Welcheck) Parker. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10 AM, at Leak Memory Chapel with visitation 30 minutes before the service. Interment will follow at the graveside at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery following the service. The family has extended a luncheon invitation to all who would like to attend to celebrate Betty's life.
