Bobby Hanks

HANKS, Bobby Lee, 71, of Pelham, Al., formerly of Montgomery, Al, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011, after a lengthy illness. Born November 10, 1940 in Conecuh County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Hanks and Opal Owens Hanks and five siblings. Three brothers, Paul Hanks, Duane Hanks, Samuel Hanks, and two sisters, Blanche McCrory and Voleria Page. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Yuton Hanks, two daughters, Heather Mason and Holly Sanders (Michael) two grandchildren, Caroline Sanders and Connor Sanders. Two sisters, Willie Anna Johnson (Eddie) and Jean Johnson (Murray) and 18 nieces and nephews. Bobby retired from Auburn University in 2000 after 26 years with the Extension Service. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Monday, November 28, from 12:00 until 2:00 followed by the funeral service in the Chapel. Wynn Watts officiating funeral with Leonard Gush officiating graveside.
