The world lost a wonderful person and a true friend. The courage, perseverance, and honesty with which Bruce lived his life was inspiring. It was a pleasure to know him and an honor to spend time with him. He is a reminder to us that through our own Christian walk we can inspire others to be better. We will miss our friend.

I am saddened for our loss because he was a fine person. Bruce was a kind loving man that would help you out in a heart beat. he loved helping if he could. I wish I could have visited you both more often. but sometimes we get to busy with our own lives that we don't stop to smell the Roses till after our loved ones have passed. My condolence to Pat and family. May God bless and comfort you in your time of loss. I and my wife, Sue, grew up with Bruce in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. I attended elementary school with Bruce at Yancey, Kentucky and we graduated with him at Hall High school in Grays Knob,Kentucky. We have lots of fond memories of Bruce in our early youth and will always remember him.

I grew up in Kentucky with Bruce and I'm saddened at his demise.  I saw Bruce a couple years ago in London and he was the same 'ol Bruce I remembered growing up in rural Kentucky.My condolences to the family.

Pat and family I send my sincerest condolences in the passing one of my closest LMU class & roommates.  He was special to all who knew him, and we are better because he passed our way.  I enjoyed my reconnection with him during the past year jointly establishing a scholarship in memory of our lead business and economics professor at LMU. Bruce was someone I looked forward to seeing three times a week during my lunch break.  He was a therapist that brought much laughter.  He is sorely missed.

He was a very loving man he was a Godly man

While I did not know Bruce that well I worked with his wife, Pat, at MWR at Maxwell AFB for many years.  I add my condolences to the family in their time of loss.  I remember he was active in the community and an asset to many he touched.

Patsy, I am so sorry for your loss. I know Bruce was a very good man and losing him has left a hole in your heart. As you find the strength to move on with your life, fill that hole with the love of God and the love of those still here around you. Lean on God and he will carry you through this very hard time in your life.

Bruce was one of the warmest and kindest person I have known in my life. The idea of losing him saddens me immensely. God loves him and takes him away from us. It is a 'zero sum game' for us.

Bruce lived out his faith every day.  I met him on the racquetball courts where his first three questions were 1) Where was I born? 2) Where did I go to church? 3) What's my favorite team?  I noticed that was his conversation opener to find out if you were a Christian.  If you didn't have a church, he would invite you to his, if you were not a Christian, he would tell you about Jesus.  If every Christian was like Bruce, we would have a Christian nation again.  I had a lot of respect for Bruce, we will all miss him, but I'll see him again in heaven.
