Carlton “Pumpkin” Lee McMichael of Montgomery, AL was born in Mobile, Alabama on October 31, 1961. He passed away at age 59 on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Baptist South Hospital surrounded by his family.
Carlton was preceded in death by his mother Margaret (stepdad Charles) Travelstead, brother Edward McMichael, and brother Troy McMichael.
Carlton is survived by his spouse Gail Olge, stepdaughter Krystal Cortes, sister Connie Lou Johnson (Stacy) & sister-in-law Lina McMichael. To cherish his memory, Carlton leaves behind his grandchildren: Nina Ragsdale, Alex Cortes & Lilyanna Cortes as well as his nephew & nieces: Samuel McMichael, Destiny McMichael, & Astacia Johnson. He also leaves behind his great nephews: Samuel & Skylar McMichael.
Mr. McMichael was known as “Pumpkin” to his family and “Carl” to friends and worked several years for Walmart before retiring. He had several medical issues over the past few years, but always kept his head up. He spent the last 30 plus years loving his wife and the last few loving their cats as well. He loved his family and Alabama football. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
