We don’t have relatives in Montgomery, but when I met my best friend, Erin, almost 40 years ago, her family became my adopted family, including her grandmother, Lala, She was always happy to see me, and it was a good thing, because I was a frequent visitor to her home on Friday nights growing up. I spent many fun times at the lake with Lala, too. She always made me feel welcome; she made me feel like part of the family. She counseled me and encouraged me. Lala loved me like her own, and I am forever grateful. Godspeed, Lala. I love you!

Mrs. Hornsby and I met a little over a year ago. She was sweet, funny, caring and a joy to know. She was a very special part of my family's life and loved by many. My mom had the opportunity to care for her and be there until she crossed over to heaven. To love and care for such a beautiful lady was a blessing to us all. We will always love you sweet Mrs. Carolyn
